Regular exercise keeps muscles strong and makes it less likely that simple activities will overwork or injure them.

Stiff and tight muscles can construct nerves in the back. When these nerves are constructed, it can result in sensations of pain throughout the back, especially the lower back.

Static flexibility is the ability to assume and maintain an extended position, such as gymnast who can perform the splits or a ballerina who can assume and hold a complicated ballet position. Dynamic flexibility involves the ability to move a joint through a full range of motion without much resistance and is influenced by strength, coordination, and static flexibility. Static flexibility is a contributing factor to dynamic flexibility.
